"Our goal is to produce a product that is unique and tastes better than
any other salsa you've ever tasted," said Debbie Watson, co-owner of Fire
Creek Salsa. Along with her two partners, Jana Wood and Dena
Belisle, these ladies have been making their favorite family recipes
for many years. They have now extended their regular or chunky-textured
salsas in mild, hot and fire hot flavors to include new and original
recipe products such as peppers in sauce, black bean salsa and corn
salsa, jellies, strawberry/banana jam, and banana butter. Hours
upon hours are spent perfecting each recipe until its taste and attributes
were mouth-wateringly good. Only the finest, freshest ingredients
go into each jar, which is then hand labeled, packaged and shipped
directly to over 100 local distributors in West Virginia to places
such as the famous Snowshoe Ski Resort. In addition, Fire Creek Salsa
is sold in the surrounding states, as well as to customers all over
the world via the Internet.
It is truly a family business, entrepreneurs who love what they are
doing and work at it diligently. Several members of the family
help. Some deliver the product, others label the jars, while still
others help in the kitchen. |
